UKWA honours Clipper CEO with Chairmans Special Award

Tony Mannix, Chief Executive Officer at Clipper Logistics plc has been honoured by the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) with the Chairman’s Award.

The award honours an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to the logistics industry. The announcement was made at the association’s flagship event on 27th June 2019. It is one of the highlights of the industry calendar and is attended by over 400 peers, colleagues and associates.

Tony joined Clipper in 2006, and has a career in retail logistics that spans more than three decades. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, a Fellow of the Institute of Couriers, he has a wealth of experience and a true passion for retail, which has seen him work alongside some of the biggest names in the sector including The John Lewis Partnership, Asda,  ASOS and Superdry.

Speaking about the recognition, Tony said: “I am humbled to be honoured with the Chairman’s Award. We have worked hard to position Clipper at the forefront of innovation. In retail, the speed of change can be daunting, and the complex issues retailers face mean that they need an agile, multi-channel logistics partner who can help keep them ahead of the retail curve, whilst driving performance. I’m proud that Clipper has become that partner for so many key players in the industry.

We are now at the forefront of e-fulfilment, having created rapid and integrated returns solution Boomerang, and Clicklink, a retail-focused Click & Collect Solution.

I am proud of the role I have played, and the recognition Clipper has received as a result. I look forward to continuing this success.”
