Swissport extends its Ground Handling licence for another seven years at Zurich Airport

Following the confirmation from the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation, Zurich Airport has extended Swissport's Ground Handling licence by seven years.
The licence covers the period from 1 December 2018 until 30 November 2025. Zurich is Swissport's largest organisation in a global network of 315 airports.
Following the confirmation from the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation, Zurich Airport has extended the license of Swissport in Zurich by seven years, ending on 30 November 2025. Swissport Zurich is a subsidiary of Swissport International Ltd. and the largest organisation in its global network of 315 airports. With a workforce of more than 2,000, Swissport in Zurich handled some 98,000 flights, 12.2 million passengers and 8.9 million pieces of luggage (only departing) on behalf of 32 airline customers in 2017. This amounts to roughly 80% of the total ground handling business at Zurich Airport.
In 2017, Swissport Zurich contributed around 10% to Swissport International's total revenue in the Ground Handling segment. Swissport does not offer Cargo services at Zurich Airport, but operates a state-of-the-art Cargo facility at EuroAirport Basel.
