More safety resources from Toyota Safety Campaign

Toyota Material Handling UK has launched two new safety posters that provide simple tips and guidance on working safely with reach trucks and powered stackers.  The posters are the latest additional to Toyota's suite of free safety resources that are available from their website www.toyota-forklifts.co.uk.

The posters were developed to provide a visual reminder for operators for how to work safely with different type of materials handling equipment. They feature easy-to-follow diagrams and description to help improve the safety of all employees in workplace.

Tony Wallis, Sales and Marketing Director for Toyota Material Handling UK comments "Toyota has always positioned itself as a provider of safe products and services, but we have also worked hard over the last 2 years to promote safety in the workplace by sharing our knowledge and providing companies with useful information that is interesting to read. These latest posters are great resources for companies to help them increase awareness of safe operation".

In 2012, Toyota launched a health and safety campaign called Taking Care with Toyota which aimed to share knowledge and help companies who operate materials handling equipment to reduce the risk of accidents.  In addition to providing free resources, Toyota Material Handling have partnered with the EU-OSHA to increase awareness of safe working practices and risk prevention for both internal team members and external companies, implemented safety dojo's and improvement boards across its UK depots and supported local health and safety events.

These latest posters join Toyota's collection of free resources which include the manual handling guide, forklift safety guide, daily operator checklist and poster for counterbalance forklifts and powered pallet trucks.

Since launching the Taking Care with Toyota Campaign in 2012, over 1000 companies have requested to receive free resources via the Toyota website. In addition Toyota have provided over 2000 forklift safety guides, 2000 manual handling guides and 1750 safety posters to companies at events plus hundreds of Pride in Performance CD Rom's that are packed with resources to help leaders and supervisors work together to increase awareness of safety.

Wallis adds "Taking Care with Toyota has been a great success.  We have received some great feedback from companies who are using the free resources on a daily basis with their teams and continually check our website for the latest free guides and posters".
