Crown Lift Trucks - LogiMAT preview

Crown is investing in more space for the company's trade fair presence at LogiMAT in Stuttgart on March 13-15, 2018. For the first time, the forklift truck manufacturer will be presenting its products in the trade fair's new Hall 10 on stand D41.

The Crown exhibition stand will be nearly three times larger than last year's, with a total area of 440 square metres. In addition to a larger exhibition area and catering space, the new stand now has enough space for two demo areas, as well as a special Technology Lounge for exploring the very latest lift-truck and automation technologies. Traditionally, Crown uses LogiMAT as a forum for presenting the company's extensive portfolio of products and solutions for safe, reliable, efficient warehouse logistics, and to introduce the latest innovations and upgrades. Furthermore, a new generation of warehouse trucks will be previewed at the show.

"LogiMAT has become internationally established as one of the major trade fairs for the material handling industry. Crown has always rated the event very highly, so it's only logical that we will significantly expand our presence in 2018. We're continuously developing our product portfolio, and at LogiMAT, we always demonstrate cutting-edge material-handling solutions that consistently increase productivity and reduce costs in the warehouse," explains Ken Dufford, Crown Vice President Europe.

Crown QuickPick Remote: live demonstrations of new applications

Visitors to the trade fair will also be able to watch live demonstrations of new applications for Crown's multi-award-winning QuickPick Remote order-picking technology – the automation system that has proved its value over millions of hours in operation. In the demo area, Crown will use a GPC order picker with scissor lift to show how operators can now do more while moving less, without compromising safety. Ultimately, using QuickPick Remote results in significantly higher order-picking productivity with significantly less physical strain on operators.

As Crown continues to systematically develop the technology's performance parameters, it has been extended to cover a wide variety of different applications. QuickPick Remote now works with the entire GPC 3000 Series of order pickers, including lifting forks and scissor-lift models. It also works with the multipurpose forklift trucks in Crown's MPC 3000 Series, as well as the TC 3000 Series of tow tractors.

Crown Wave: the perfect ladder replacement in action

A second demo area has been set aside for live demonstrations of Crown's highly successful WAV 60 Series of work assist vehicles in operation. The versatile Wave is a safer, more productive, more flexible solution, especially in applications where ladders are normally used to work at reach heights of up to five metres.

Crown will also give visitors to the trade fair an overview of the company's complete product range, from the compact and agile WP 3010 electric pallet truck through to the electrically powered counterbalance trucks in the SC 6000 Series. Information on automation and fleet management technologies, as well as the company's extensive range of services and wide selection of rental and used forklifts, will round off Crown's presentation at LogiMAT.
