cargo-partner acquires Repalog in Germany

As part of its ongoing growth in the e-commerce sector, the international transport and info-logistics provider, cargo-partner, has joined forces with the German fulfilment and last-mile specialist Repalog.

E-commerce has been a rapidly advancing trend for years, and the COVID-19 pandemic has further accelerated the growth of online sales along with the demand for e-commerce services in both B2B and B2C. To expand its expertise and complete its service portfolio, cargo-partner has purchased the German-based company Repalog – a fully integrated network carrier for international and intercontinental shipments – as of 1 April 2021.

Stefan Krauter, CEO of cargo-partner, comments: “Our investment was motivated by our desire to strengthen our global network with additional capabilities for cross-border e-commerce services and to offer our customers an integrated solution, including transport by air, sea or rail – combined with last-mile services. Repalog will perfectly complement our service offering in our key markets in Europe with their range of fulfilment, parcel distribution and return services. We can now create even faster, more flexible and cost-efficient end-to-end solutions for our customers: from transport and consolidation up to customs clearance, warehousing and last-mile distribution.”

Based near Frankfurt, Repalog will be integrated into cargo-partner as a new subsidiary. Hand in hand with the acquisition of Repalog, cargo-partner has also created a new division, focusing exclusively on the development and promotion of product solutions for the e-commerce sector worldwide.

Repalog is currently integrated with over 100 local and international parcel service providers and handles over one million parcel shipments per year, allowing customers to benefit from a variety of options and competitive rates. In addition, the company offers a comprehensive software solution for rate comparison, tracking, label printing and returns management. This platform will now be integrated into cargo-partner’s own supply chain management platform to ensure a seamless experience for the logistics providers’ customers.
