Logistics event in Eastern China in November

The International Logistics Expo 2008 & China World Logistics Conference (also known as Logistics World 2008) will be staged on Nov 19 to 21, 2008 at the Nanjing International Expo Center, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, P R China. This spectacular event is expected to attract 12,000 trade visitors and buyers from various industries and provide a wide range of logistics equipment and solutions for different applications. Also, a number of overseas experts and industry leaders will share their views on the future development of logistics industry.
Logistics World 2008 will occupy 20,000sqm and it will gather 200 domestic and overseas exhibitors who are logistics equipment suppliers, services suppliers, hardware and software suppliers, etc. Highlighted exhibits will cover "Forklift and Transport System", "Shelves and Storage System", "Special Logistics Equipment and Technology" and "Logistics Services and Technology" which cater for the needs of buyers from different industries. To provide participants with more overseas industry news and business opportunities, a number of forums, conferences and business matching activities will be conducted concurrently.
One of the major concurrent events is "China World Logistics Conference", which highlights the key concepts of "Reinforce resources in local Chinese market", "Keep an eye on global market", "Adopt the best of the best" and "Mutual discussion for China logistics industry development", aiming at introducing the most advanced logistics management concept and technology to Jiangsu Province and to promote the exchange between Jiangsu logistics industry and the international markets, particular the US logistics enterprises. The content of the conference will include the discussion among manufacturing enterprises and logistics enterprises, discussion between China and US's Transportation Department, multi-national enterprises' case study, logistics management talent storage crisis, business development strategies for SMEs, infrastructure development of inland ports and logistics parks, cargo security, cold chain, chemical logistics, auto logistics, etc.
With a brilliant record achieved by last edition of Singapore Logistics Day, the coming edition's theme is airport and port. As Jiangsu Province will implement its port development planning in the 11th Five-year Plan, the event will invite official representatives from Singapore and Jiangsu Province as well as Singaporean enterprises to discuss how the merging of logistics supply chain management system of airports and ports will create favorable market environment for the development of port and to sharpen the ports' overall competitive edge. The guests will also share their experience on Singapore's logistics supply chain management.
Another concurrent activity is 2008 China (Jiangsu) Yangtze River Delta Logistics Cooperation Forum which is not only an important platform to promote the development of logistics industry in the Yangtze River Delta region, but also a well-known forum in the logistics field. The forum will invite experts from Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province, Shanghai, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan Province to attend and share their views on the topic of "The set up and management of logistics information platform, aiming at helping the enterprises to understand more about the information exchange network and its technology and management, and to designing tailor-made information platform solutions for the enterprises. This forum will provide chance for logistics experts, information experts and enterprises to explore more cooperation opportunities.
Besides, to facilitate cooperation, a series of Logistics Equipment and Services Match Meetings will be held. The Warehouse and Storage Meeting as well as the Iron and Steel Trading Meeting organized by China Association of Warehouses and Storage and Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce Steel Commerce Chamber respectively are in the pipeline.
Authorized by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and China Association for Science and Technology, Logistics World 2008 is organized by the Economic & Trade Commission of Jiangsu Province, Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Jiangsu Provincial Government and Jiangsu Science and Technology Department, and co-organized by Jiangsu New International Convention & Exhibition (Group) Co., Ltd, Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Exchange Center with Foreign Countries and Beijing Yazhan Exhibition Services Ltd.
