'Big' contract win for Palletways member

Jack Richards & Sons, a member of the Palletways network based in Fakenham in Norfolk, is celebrating a contract win from King's Lynn-based Big K.
Big K Products UK Ltd, which has been importing charcoal products into the UK from global sources for the past 40 years, sells a range of both summer and winter fuels along with outdoor living products.
Big K originally imported pre-packed products to supply the restaurant market but expanded in to the home barbecue market since it grew in the early seventies.
Martin Zuill, Big K Transport Operations Manager said: "We've been working with Jack Richards for three years now and they've more than proved their logistics capability. So much so, that we've decided to award them with the contract to distribute our pallet network products throughout the UK."
Dominic Purslow, Jack Richards & Son depot principal, said: "We're delighted to be handling the pallet network distribution for Big K products and we're looking forward to handling our 5,000th consignment for them later this year. It's great to be working with a professional and like-minded local company."
Jack Richards & Son, which was founded more than 50 years ago, is one of over 100 members in the Palletways UK pallet network. All members are independent transport companies, who share each other resources to distribute goods via the network to the market faster and more cost effectively.
