Advanced Supply Chain creates 150 jobs at new Corby warehouse

UK-based distribution company, Advanced Supply Chain, has opened a brand new warehouse in Corby, Northamptonshire, creating an initial 150 jobs.


 
The warehouse is Advanced's first major move outside of the Yorkshire area, and is an important stage in the company's strategic expansion plans.   It will bring Advanced's total operational space to over 1 million sq ft.
 
Mike Danby, CEO of Advanced Supply chain, commented:  "Advanced Supply Chain is experiencing a huge demand from its current UK clients and the Corby warehouse is the next step in our business plan to meet these needs.
 
"It is always fantastic to open new premises, and Corby is particularly exciting because it is our first warehouse in the Midlands. We are now in position to offer cost effective, timely warehousing and distribution services to all UK businesses irrespective of their, or their customers, location.
 
Advanced, which has its headquarters in Bradford, is on course to increase its turnover from 20m to 30m over the next financial year.  The company currently employs 400 staff, with this new warehouse taking its headcount to in excess of 500
 
Advanced works with a wide range of household names including Makro, Matalan, George and Debenhams. Also, following its recently established partnership with Chinas single biggest logistics company, Sinotrans it is now able to offer customers the ultimate end to end supply chain solution.
