Marie Boyer from France Line in top award shortlist

Marie Boyer, Branch Manager of France Line (International Transport), is a finalist in the Network of Aspiring Women Awards 2011. Selected from over 200 nominations, it is a worthy achievement and great news for the Manchester based haulier and freight forwarder known as "The French Road Freight Specialist".
Via its network of independent French and Continental hauliers, agents and depots throughout France, the small but dynamic company provides reliable and efficient B2B freight services into any area of France to manufacturing companies from any industries as well as to blue chip forwarders.
For the 12 months ending at 30.04.2011, France Line delivered a turnover of 1.6 million, an increase of 23% on the previous year, and its first quarter figures for its financial year 2011 / 2012 were up 7%. Marie Boyer attributed this continued growth in turnover to more repeat sales due to improved customer satisfaction and loyalty, to winning and developing new accounts, more so following the company's appearance for the first time this year at Multimodal, the UK's only event dedicated to the transport and logistics industry.
Marie Boyer commented: "I am delighted to have been nominated and to have been shortlisted. It would be great to win but it really is great to have been recognised in this way already."
The Awards event is in its third year and is all about helping women connect to do business together and inspire them to go higher in their chosen profession. Jo Cameron said "when people get together and share ideas it is easier to build momentum. It's easier to keep going when the economic climate gets tough. But mostly the network is about sharing ideas amongst each other that can help businesses grow. These awards are about celebrating success and recognising those women who have not only succeeded themselves but are helping others too.
The judging will take place in September when the panel of leading businesswomen including Dragon's Den star Rachel Elnaugh, Secret Millionaire Gill Fielding and former rally driver and TV presenter Penny Mallory join with other esteemed women to select the winner of each of the 9 categories. The winners will be announced at the Awards lunch on 30th September 2011 at Aston Villa, Birmingham.
