Schmitz Cargobull working for Transaid

One of the first things that visitors to the forthcoming Commercial Vehicle show will see as they arrive at the exhibition will be a Schmitz Cargobull curtainsider trailer emblazoned with a visually stunning livery specially commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of Transaid the logistics industrys charity.

The trailer, which is co-sponsored by Wincanton and the CV Show organisers, will be on display throughout the event in the outdoor truck and trailer demonstration area which is located outside Hall 17 of the NEC.

After the show the trailer will be run for 12 months by Wincanton on routes throughout mainland Europe to help promote Transaid and the excellent work that it undertakes throughout Africa.

Schmitz Cargobulls UK sales and marketing director, Andrew Morley, commented:  Transaid works to improve transport services and, subsequently, the quality of life of people living in sub-Saharan Africa and we are delighted to be able to co-operate with them and Wincanton on the development of a trailer that will help to promote Transaid to the widest possible audience.

During the course of the CV Show Schmitz Cargobull will also be looking to generate additional funds for Transaid and a number of money-raising events are planned.

Anyone interested in learning more about the work of Transaid, is welcome to visit the Transaid stand (18-323) at the CV Show or visit Transaids inspiring
