University of Northampton is one of two universities to receive CIPS accreditation for its MBA programme

The University of Northampton has become one of just two universities in the UK to receive accreditation for its MBA programme from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
The MBA programme with a procurement and supply chain focus offers a pathway for CIPS Chartered status, adopted within Northampton Business School. It is designed to meet the ever changing needs of connected global business, developing critical thinking and skills within the supply chain sector.
Traditional strategies of organisations competing on cost alone are over and adopting an executive level qualification in the area recognised as the new differentiator in business - procurement and supply chain; graduating students will not only appreciate the auspices of business management, but further the ethical, sustainability and value creation considerations that underpin economic and social aspects of today's stakeholder requirements.
Dr Mairi Watson, Deputy Dean at Northampton Business School, commented: "We are proud to be the first global institution to offer a pathway of education (MCIPS & Chartered) recognised by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
"This particular MBA programme is complementary to other postgraduate programmes at the University of Northampton and validates the Centre of Excellence Logistics and Supply at Northampton Business School as a leader in the field of logistics and supply chain education."
