Surge in reported sightings of cardboard logistics boss!

Reported sightings of cardboard cut-out versions of Mark Elward, managing director of logistics services provider, DK Fulfilment Ltd (DKF), are coming in from around the world.

"'Mark' has been spotted on a beech in Turkey, sightseeing in Majorca, meeting locals in Long Island and in the middle of Arizona," says Robin Buxton, DKF Group's European Marketing Manager.

"He's also appeared as a member of the crew in a recent film made by world famous yachtsman, author and broadcaster, Tom Cunliffe."

The life-size cardboard 'Marks' are a novel way of raising money for the Armed Forces charity, Turn to Starboard.

DKF is encouraging staff, customers and suppliers to take a 'Mark' with them on holidays, family days-out or business trips and upload their photographs of 'Mark' snapped in unusual places on a dedicated website – www.placethemark.com. Visitors to the site can make a financial donation to Turn to Starboard should they wish to.

"As well as raising money for a great cause, this is designed to be a bit of fun and I am delighted that so many people from across the logistics industry are entering in to the spirit of it," adds Robin Buxton.

Turn to Starboard uses sailing training to help serving and retired Armed Forces personnel and their families readjust after operational tours.
