New MAN PerformanceLine has the pace for Cheetah Couriers and Logistics

Truck manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus UK has supplied a family-run logistics company with a new MAN TGX 26.640 PerformanceLine after they saw it showcased at the Commercial Vehicle Show this year.

Director Lewis Pritchard, says the new truck will be the showpiece of the fleet and there is sure to be strong competition among the firm's drivers and himself for a chance to get behind the wheel.

Lewis said: "We saw this truck when we visited MAN at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC.

"The colour helped, but it was certainly a standout truck at the show. We liked it instantly and having talked to our MAN sales executive we were convinced that it was worth the extra investment as the residuals at the back end are likely to be significant.

"Also this is our 36th year of trading, the company was established by my parents John and Sue, and they are gradually taking a step back from it and handing the reins more to me and my sister Abi, and this was also a way of marking that."

The truck will be based out of Cheetah Couriers and Logistics' Hemel Hempstead depot and will be operating up to 18 hours a day covering contracted night-time haulage and ad hoc day-time deliveries.

Lewis added: "There is no doubt that the drivers will be vying to get behind the wheel of the new truck. There is sure to be a great deal of enthusiasm for it.

"All our 35 trucks are MAN and we are also exploring the opportunities presented by the new MAN TGE too. We really appreciate the flexibility in service opportunities we receive through our dealer John Arnold Commercials in Bedford."

Scott Munton, MAN sales executive, added: "The truck attracted a lot of attention at the CV Show and I am really pleased Lewis was one of our first customers to place an order.

"The expected residual value of these trucks alongside the efficiency and power they deliver, help make them an even more attractive package. I am certain the new MAN TGX PerformanceLine will be a successful addition to the Cheetah fleet."
