MAN Truck & Bus UK is Topps’ choice for new fleet

Truck manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus UK has beaten off competitors in a rigorous tender process to supply vehicles to Topps Tiles.

The firm now has 16 new MAN TGX 26.480 XLX tractor units and four new MAN TGS 26.360 curtainsiders on the road, all sporting the newly resigned Topps Tiles livery.

Kevin Smith, Topps Tiles' national transport manager, explained: "We have undergone a full tender process for everything from tyres to running costs and we invited all the manufacturers to take part.

"MAN came through for us in terms of what they can offer. It is an all in one package that delivers everything we were looking for. They were against all the other big manufacturers and did a really great job creating the package that won the tender.

"We have had a strong relationship with MAN and look forward to continuing this into the future."

Lee Stilling, MAN sales executive, added: "We are delighted that MAN was able to offer a competitive package after taking part in what was a thorough tendering process.

"Topps Tiles now have 20 new MANs on the road and the partnership between the two companies includes plans for more vehicles being supplied in 2018."

The new MANs are all Euro6c and are on an 18 month rental agreement and will be used on multi-drop runs throughout the UK.
