Linde Material Handling showcases latest robotic truck at IntraLogisteX

Linde Material Handling showcased its L-Matic pallet stacker at this year's IntraLogisteX, just one of the trucks in a range of new automated trucks available from Linde Robotics.

With a load capacity of 1.2 tonnes and acceleration to 1.6 m/s maximum, both with and without load this driverless truck is designed for low level pick & drop and rapid pallet transfers targeting warehouse applications.

Linde demonstrated the key features including, the simple changeover from the autonomous to manual mode and the Robot Manager, an integrated planning system which processes and transmits data in real-time, controlling interaction with other networked machines and devices.

David Bowen, warehouse product manager at Linde UK said: "This new technology will save customers time and money as the Linde-MATIC series is based on 'infrastructure-free' geo-guidance technology which means the Robot Manager instructs the truck to change aisles and manoeuvre around walls, pillars and other obstructions."

As well as showcasing its latest products, Linde also demonstrated how technology and innovation is changing the intralogistics industry. As demand grows for independent trucks which can be integrated into existing systems, Linde is expanding its robotic range and their applications.

Gary Bartram, Automation Manager from Linde said: "For our customers, there's now a great interest in how advanced technology can be integrated into existing operational logistics and we're pleased to be at the cutting edge of these developments.

"The Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and Big Data are key areas of discussion throughout the industry and the process of material handling is evolving creating a cost effective and productive logistics model of the future.

"The L-MATIC stacker is one of many robotic trucks in our product range and we're continuing to develop our offer. We now offer a mix of manually operated and fully-automated industrial systems to give our customers the option to shape processes to align with their evolving needs."
