Gebrüder Weiss will become the Logistics Partner for the Bregenz Festival

The international transport and logistics company will become the official logistics partner for the Bregenz Festival.

It is a long term partnership that is principally concerned with the transport of the lavish sets, backdrops, and musical instruments. Especially as a result of its opera programme performed on the world's largest lake stage, the Bregenz Festival has been the premiere cultural event in the Lake Constance region for a number of years.

"The pieces of the sets have been manufactured to a very high quality standard and they must correspond exactly to the artistic intentions of the stage designer even after long transit. With Gebrüder Weiss we settle on a reliable partner for this sensitive transport," said Michael Diem, Commercial Director of the Bregenz Festival. In the past Gebrüder Weiss has already successfully provided transport for the cultural festival.

Logistics supports culture

Furthermore, Gebrüder Weiss is supporting the renowned cultural event organiser as a co-sponsor. "Like the Bregenz Festival, Gebrüder Weiss places the highest value on sustainable success, which is characterised by high quality standards. Both businesses share the aim of delighting their customers with first class products and services," explained Heinz Senger-Weiss, Management Board Member at Gebrüder Weiss, of the similarities of the two companies and the motivation for the partnership. The Festival and the logistics company are also connected by a long tradition in the Lake Constance region.

While the history of Gebrüder Weiss in transportation reaches back more than 500 years, the Bregenz Festival will celebrate its 70th anniversary in the summer of 2016. The presentation of Giacomo Puccini's 'play on the lake,' Turandot, is sure to inspire the same audience enthusiasm for the programme as in previous years.
