Americk Packaging receive 3 EFIA industry awards

Americk Packaging's Buxton site have been awarded three EFIA Awards this month. The following awards were presented at the prestigious Gala Dinner held at the NEC in Birmingham.
- Gold Award won for best print in the Flexo Reverse Print On Film (Wide Web over 1200mm category).
- Student of the year.
- Bronze award for 3rd in "Best In Show "selected from all the Gold winners on the night.
The Gold Award entry design was reverse printed on a 1230mm film using inks supplied by SUN Chemicals and Flexo HD plates from VCG Connect. The vibrant and complex flexible packaging was produced for Memory Lane Cakes who were extremely pleased with the result.
Site Director Keith Greasley commented: "To win a Gold Award for this entry along with the Best in Show is the "icing on the cake" for our site. Excuse the pun." He continues. "However for one of our rising stars to also be awarded the Student Of The Year is a fantastic all round achievement. Which has created a real buzz and sense of pride throughout our Flexibles Division."
Production Assistant Hannah Wardle won the coveted Student of the Year Award 2017. The EFIA programme covers a range of modules including basic introduction to printing right through to fingerprinting and lean manufacturing. The award recognises the student with the highest overall marks in the Academy. Hannah is the first female to win and was up against over 200 other students. She will also be invited to be part of the judging team for the 2018 EFIA Awards.
Hannah commented "I have a better understanding of the printing process now as a result of the EFIA course, which helps me when managing colour. I am over the moon to receive this award"
