Fleet engineers are being encouraged to attend a commercial vehicle fuel economy conference the IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers), BTAC (British Transport Advisory Consortium) and CILT (The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) are jointly hosting.
Anyone with an interest in managing the fuel economy of commercial vehicles, such as vans, trucks, buses and coaches will benefit from the one-day conference and display, which focuses on the challenging costs of fuel.
The IRTE’s Ian Chisholm said: “The event is an independent and collaborative approach to the problem. Providing fleets with methods and best practice, the IRTE is doing what is does best, supporting both its membership of road transport engineering professionals and helping the wider industry.”
The IRTE is a Professional Sector of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE), a professional membership organisation that supports and develops the careers of engineering professionals. Through a Continuing Professional Development programme of national and regional events and activities, assisting members achieve registration at EngTech, IEng and CEng level, as well as technical and membership journals and networking opportunities, SOE is one of engineering’s most successful organisations at developing its engineering professionals.
The one-day conference takes place on September 22 at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Attendance is £95 plus VAT. However, members of the event’s organisers pay £75 plus VAT.
